The Matchbox Theatre is a well-established, highly-regarded amateur dramatic society largely made up of members of St Francis'.  The group was started in 1981.  We perform a wide variety of plays on the tiny stage in the church hall (hence the name) to an ever-increasing and appreciative audience - at Christmas, around Easter and in July. When rehearsing we meet on Sunday and Monday evenings (and occasionally Wednesday) at the hall.

The next production on 7th to 9th July 2022 is "The Last Quiz Night on Earth"  An asteroid is set to end the Earth in two hours. So join Kathy and Ray as they invite you to finish it with more than one big bang. Ready to get quizzical? The play is set to be a jolly night out. It will be at tables as you will see when you go online to book. There will be lots of laughs, a tear or two, and a few challenging questions. It's not just a comedy, but a full-length pub quiz!  Don't forget to bring your own drink, nibbles and thinking caps. The play starts at 8pm each night in the church hall.
