We've been delighted to welcome folk to West Wickham Methodist Church since December 1933 when the original Methodist Society (congregation) was established. Sadly our numbers have reduced considerably since 2020 and many of our key office holders are no longer able to continue. As a result, our church council made the brave but necessary decision to cease worship as a local Methodist congregation earlier this year and agreed to continue meeting until January 2024 to see our 90th year out in full.
We held our last Covenant service on 7 January 2024 at 10:30am followed by a congregational lunch and it was good to be together and commit to following Christ beyond our walls.
Do join us for our service of thanksgiving for our life and witness over 90 years on 14 January at 2:30pm, to which all are invited. Please see the poster below for more information and to RSVP for catering and seating purposes.
Our December events were well attended and gave us the opportunity to compelte the church year of worship in full. We are sorry to need to move on elsewhere as individual members and pray that the necessary plans for the future of the premises beyond 2024 will go smoothly. We give thanks to God for all who have been part of our worshipping community over the decades and for all who have made a contribution to West Wickham life through the groups they have run on site. We are so very pleased that two of the charitable bodies we have hosted, 8th West Wickham Scouts and the Mencap Day Opportunities group, have found excellent homes elsewhere in good time. We pray for those who are still making plans to move on and trust all will be well with you. With every blessing, the Ministerial Team and Trustees.

Our Ministers:
We have 2 ordained ministers (one presbyter and one deacon) who serve our church and community. A number of local preachers also conduct worship in accordance with our preaching plan.
Circuit and District:
We are part of the Bromley Methodist Circuit which is a group of four local Methodist churches (Beckenham, Bromley, Freeman Ghanaian and West Wickham) and the circuit is overseen by the Superintendent Minster. Together with many other circuits, we make up the London Methodist District which is overseen by 2 District Chairs.
Our circuit is part of the Methodist Connexion in the UK:
